BEES boss Thomas Frank has refused to comment on transfer speculation.
Brentford have been linked with moves for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey and former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen in recent days.
Frank's side are believed to be in the market for a new midfielder who can add creativety in the middle of the park.
Frank told the media: "I love to speak about players who are in house and who were running around a minute ago on our training pitch.
"I think it is a little bit more fun to talk about things other than rumours, let’s speak about reality".
When asked about a move for Christian Eriksen, Frank said: “This is a player that only plays for the top clubs.
“Something unfortunate happened to Christian and now things changed a bit. He deserves to play at the highest level and I hope he will.
“Under normal circumstances there would be no rumours with a club like us. I guess we should be flattered that there are rumours with a player of his qualities.
“It’s the same with all players out there – (Lionel) Messi, (Kylian) Mbappe, Eriksen. If they fit the criteria of no d***heads they can play for us.”
Ahead of the visit of Manchester United in the Premier League on Wednesday the Danish manager did confirm that there were no new injury concerns.
The Bees continue to be without a number of players, including David Raya (knee), Charlie Goode (hamstring), Mathias Jorgensen (thigh), Julian Jeanvier (knee) and Josh Dasilva (hip).
Frank also has Frank Onyeka away on international duty with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.
