Here’s how the Brentford players rated in their 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
David Raya 7
Made a great initial save to deny Armstrong but although the decision to award a penalty was harsh, he made the referee make a decison. Made amends with two great one-on-one saves.
Rico Henry 7
Looked a threat down the left showing real pace which pinned the Rovers back. Linked up well with Dasilva and took advantage of Benrahma cutting inside allowing him the flank to roam. In defence got back numerous times to snuff out any danger.
Ethan Pinnock 6
Complacent with ball at feet and nervy under the high ball. His error got punished and he stepped up after that.
Julian Jeanvier 6
Like his defensive partner he looked a little weary under the high ball.
Henrik Dalsgaard 6
Took too long on the ball and got caught out by Josh Buckley on the flank. In attack he showed some great footwork down the right and composure when looking for the final ball.
Christian Norgaard 7
Isolated in the middle at times but he’s the base from which Brentford build their attack. Broke up a number of possible threats and did the dirty work his two fellow midfielders aren’t known for.
Josh Dasilva 7
Started brightly, switching play quickly and showing a swagger in the middle driving his side up the park. Drifted in and out of the game too much though and only seemed to want to get involved when the Bees got their goal.
Emiliano Marcondes 5
Great in attack but offers little defensive cover. Some great footwork but the final ball was lacking. Like many of the Bees players, looked far too complacent on the ball.
Bryan Mbeumo 6
Quiet game overall from the winger. Often getting the ball with his back to goal he found himself trying to do too much to go on the offensive, which ultimately came to nothing. Second half he got on the front foot more and seemed to look more his confident self.
Said Benrahma 8
Best player on the park by country mile. Everything good Brentford did came through him. Very unlucky not to get on the scoresheet in the first half. Played a number of cutting balls through the Rovers back line.
Ollie Watkins 8
Worked hard and tirelessly but the ball just wasn’t dropping to him in the first half. Second half however he showed his quality with a finish from the to draw.
SUBS:
Shandon Baptiste 7
Looked comfortable in the middle and steadied the ship offering a calmness that looked to be lacking by many.
Mads Roerslev 8
A great run to win the penalty and offered a real attacking threat down the right.
Halil Dervisoglu 6
Little time to make an impact.
