During the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, the nation is being urged to throw 'thank you' parties.
Celebrities including Gary Linekar, Prue Leith, Lorraine Kelly, Gareth Southgate, Levi Roots, and many more are all backing the special Thank You Day on Sunday, June 5.
The day will hope to see millions gather across the country to host street parties and host a Big Jubilee Lunch to thank the Queen for 70 years of service.
They also hope the day will thank neighbours, family, friends, communities, the NHS and key workers for their support over the last few years.
Save the date! #ThankYouDay this year is Sunday 5th June, on the Platinum Jubilee weekend. Say a huge thank you to The Queen, and also neighbours, family, friends and community – everyone who has helped us through the year. Pass it on and make it the biggest thank you party ever! pic.twitter.com/BidIjf3b1u

Also promoting the day is former Eastenders star Ross Kemp who said: "It’s a big thank you to her, but it’s also a thank you, if you wish, to the staff at NHS, key workers, people who have volunteered, neighbours who have just gone round and checked on people."
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Kemp added "primarily it’s a huge thank you to an extraordinary woman who has steered this country and the Commonwealth over the last 70 years with a steady hand."
Thank You Day began in 2021 to show appreciation to those that helped during the Covid-19 pandemic and this year it coincides with the four-day bank holiday weekend for the Queen's Jubilee.
