More than £2,000 has been raised from a designer sale in Barnes.
The successful sale, organised by the friends of Home-Start Richmond, drew in the crowds on Saturday, March 3, as shoppers packed Barnes’s Old Sorting Office to pick up everything from discounted Prada boots to Boden dresses.
Organiser Caroline Shuffrey said “The sale was great, we could not believe how generous everyone was, what they donated and what they bought.
“We were really pleased and touched by the numbers that turned up to buy, and by the armfuls of clothes they went home with.”
All proceeds will go towards training new Home-Start volunteers to support families with young children who are experiencing difficulties such as post-natal depression, disability, bereavement and family breakdown.
