The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has vowed tomorrow's big match will go ahead at Twickenham Stadium - despite 2in of snow forecast to fall in London.
Freezing conditions have already cast doubt over the weekend's sporting programme but the RFU said tomorrow's England v South Africa Test will go ahead.
In a statement released today, the RFU said: "Covers are being placed over the playing surface at Twickenham Stadium, which will ensure that it remains in excellent condition and that the Investec Internationals England v South Africa fixture will go ahead as planned."
Snow has been spreading across parts of Britain as the big freeze sets in.
Forecasters have predicated up to 2in of snow could fall in the capital tomorrow.
And snow and icy conditions look likely to get worse early next week.
A raft of sub-zero temperatures was recorded overnight, with a temperature of -3.8C recorded at Kew Gardens.
