Film crews were today in Richmond Park to film scenes from Sherlock Holmes 2, the sequel to the 2009 hit film.
The stars of the fictional detective film - including Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock and Jude Law as Dr Watson - appeared to keep a low profile as filming took place in the park.
There was speculation about the movie set on social networking site Twitter, with some users saying Richmond Park was doubling as a gypsy camp.
Culture_Capital Culture Capital posted: "It's a spooky caravan site amongst all the deer."
Another said it appeared to be a "19th century gypsy camp".
The as-yet-untitled movie, directed by Guy Ritchie, is due for release next year.
Stephen Fry revealed earlier this year he would be starring in the film as Sherlock's older brother, Mycroft.
Also confirmed to star in the film is Noomi Rapace, the actress who played Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish language version of the Millenium Trilogy - the film series which includes The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
