A group of teenagers have turned £30 into £1,000 on behalf of an Aids charity.
The youngsters from Teddington Baptist Church were challenged to turn the money into £300 for HIV/Aids charity Hope HIV, which supports children in sub-Saharan Africa.
They put on an evening of music and entertainment at the church, in Church Road, with music from singer-songwriters as well as their own compositions, and put on refreshments to raise further money.
Minister Richard Littledale said: “Teenagers today get a lot of harsh and unwarranted bad press.
“Here we have seen a group of talented teenagers giving their time and skills so that others a world away might benefit.
“It is a privilege to know them.”
