Police were today investigating the death of a man found slumped in a car outside a pub.
The man was found outside the Airman pub in Hanworth Road, Feltham, yesterday.
Police were called and closed off the road outside as investigations were carried out.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “We were called at 12.20pm following reports of a man slumped motionless in a car.
“Officers are treating the death as unexplained.”
He said a postmortem examination was due to be carried out today.
The spokesman added it was hoped the postmortem would help detectives determine if further police investigation was needed.
Although police believe they know the identity of the man they have not released his name as his next of kin has not yet been traced.
The road was closed yesterday but the pub stayed open as detectives tried to piece together what happened in the car park.
Ambulance crew were also also called to the scene.
A spokesman from the London Ambulance Service said: “We sent one ambulance crew a single responder in a car.
"Unfortunately one patient, a male, was already dead at the scene.”
