Gymnasts from Britain's Got Talent winners Spelbound may be known for their gold spray-tan, but now they have some gold medals to go with it.
Just weeks after dazzling Simon Cowell and co, they faced arguably an even tougher group of judges at the World Acrobatic Gymnastic Championships in Poland.
And the shooting stars, who practice at Heathrow Gymnastics Club, in Green Lane, Hounslow, did not disappoint, as they came away from Wrozlaw with a record haul.
Douglas Fordyce and Edward Upcott took gold for Great Britain in the men's pair event, and Adam Buckingham, Adam McAssey, Alex Uttley and Jonathan Stranks took gold in the men's fours.
Elsewhere, British acrobats took a silver in the women's trio and a silver in the overall team event, making it Great Britain's most successful Championships ever.
The winning British acrobats were coached to success by Neil Griffiths, the man whose midas touch took Spelbound to Britain’s Got Talent glory earlier in the year.
Mr Griffiths told the British Gymnastics website: “I can’t describe how I feel! I need time to digest what has happened to me and my gymnasts here in Wrozlaw.
“We knew that the World Championships required much more than performing in Spelbound; increased difficulty of the routines and immaculate execution. Our athletes were cool and collected and they performed beyond my expectation. There is no happier person in the world than me.”
After their spectacular talent show win, the group said they would use their success to raise the profile of acrobatics in a bid to see it made an Olympic sport.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden said at the time: “We are hosting the 2012 Olympic Games and I can only think what a brilliant opening act.”
Simon Cowell added: “Putting it in Olympic terms, that would have won the gold medal. I can only say on live TV that was one of the most astonishing things I’ve ever seen.”
A string of stars including Usher, Leona Lewis and street dance troupe Diversity have already asked to work with the young gymnasts.
It has been a busy few weeks for Spelbound, with the group only having completed the Britain's Got Talent live tour a week before the championships.
They will now begin preparing to appear at the Royal Variety Performance in December, where they hope to provide the Queen with an early Christmas cracker.
