A devout Christian may take her discrimination claim against British Airways (BA) to the European Court of Human Rights.
Nadia Eweida, from Strawberry Hill, was told in 2006 she could not wear a cross around her neck while working as a check-in operator at Heathrow.
Ms Eweida, of Strawberry Hill Close, lost a High Court appeal earlier this year against a ruling by an employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal which cleared BA of discrimination.
She had claimed its refusal to allow her to wear the cross was indirect discrimination, but the case was thrown out.
Ms Eweida said a further appeal to the Supreme Court had also been rejected but it was not the end of hte line.
She said: “That’s the end of it in England but I’m meeting with my counsel later this month to talk about going to the European Court.
"It would mean I was taking the Government to court and not BA.”
