A MAN was left fighting for his life after a hit and run accident on the Great West Road, Brentford.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident at the east bound junction with Windmill Road in the early hours of Sunday March 28.

A red BMW is believed to have collided with 20-year-old South African Heath De Bruyn who was returning from a drink at the Globe pub after midnight. It failed to stop, driving off along the A4 in the direction of central London. The car sustained frontal damage, including a smashed windscreen.

An ambulance took the De Bruyn to a central London hospital, where he is suffering from life threatening injuries. Call 020 8247 6935 with information.
