HOUNSLOW'S Rachel Bowles, Stephen Furnell, Amy Love, Christopher Morris, Anna Murawska and Adrian O'Brien, members of the Centaur Explorer Scout Unit, were presented with their Queen's Scout Award by Chad Lake - the County Commissioner in the Ante Chamber of Hounlsow's Civic Centre on Lampton Road on Monday.
All these youngsters fulfilled the requirements of the Queen's Scout Award including community work, leadership, a new physical pursuit, a new skill and a four day expedition. All six undertook their expedition hiking through the Gran Paradiso National Park in Northern Italy.
The presentations are the forerunner of the St George's Day Parade at Windsor on Sunday, April 25, when all will be presented to Queen Elizabeth II. On Monday they had to be content with Cllr Roger Clarke - Hounslow's Mayor.
