A NEW scheme that can help key workers combat the high price of houses in Hounslow has been welcomed by Seema Malhotra, Labour's candidate in the London Assembly elections this summer.
Seema said: "Rising house prices are good news for those who already own a home, but we must not forget that many vital workers - nurses, fire officers, teachers - may not be able to work here if they cannot afford a place to live.
"This new scheme is spending £690 million to get these vital workers onto the housing ladder. For some teachers, up to £100,000 is available."
