Prosecuting Robert Thompson, said that police driving behind him saw Attwood pull out from a stopped row of traffic and then go through the red light.

He was stopped and stumbled and they smelled alcohol on his breath. A later test showed he had 56 microgrammes of alcohol to each 100 millilitres of breath.

Robert Thompson, prosecuting, said that Davenport had been driving home and lost control of his Ford Escort on a left hand turn. He finished up knocking down a wall in Hanworth Road. The owner came out and held him until police arrived. They reported that Davenport smelled of alcohol. A test showed 133 microgrammes of alcohol to each 100 millilitres of breath, nearly four times the limit. The bench said that they needed reports and this must include prison.
