A couple have traded in their house in Chiswick for a stunning 15 room chateau in Southern France.

The Austins bought Chateau Lartigolle, located in the Gascony region of Southern France, after falling in love with its fairytale location.

The castle, nestled deep in the Gers countryside, is surrounded by 22 acres of lush rural landscape including a swimming pool, tennis court, a five-a-side football pitch, a small vineyard and even a fully equipped recording studio.

The 15th century Chateau is described as "the perfect location for a special event", and will be rented out by the couple as a site for private functions, ranging from exclusive holidays, through to private parties and corporate events.

The Austins hope to attract clients from all areas, describing the estate as "a beautiful space that can be moulded to fit to whatever you require; it's also a space where you can melt into your surroundings and just switch off."

The chateau, with its superb lighting and breathtaking surroundings offers prime film and photography locations and even if total relaxation isn't your thing, the property is located forty minutes drive from the thriving city of Toulouse and only one and a half hours from skiing in the Pyrenees.

"Our aim is to transform it into the most desirable location in the region", states Sian Austin. The Times wishes them the best of luck. For information on Chateau Lartigolle visit the website on www.lartigolle.com
