A PUB in Feltham has given one of its long-standing regulars a special award, in recognition of his charity work.
Staff and customers at The General Roy, Poplar Way, presented Graham Hamstead with a Sizzling Star Award on Wednesday March 17.
Landlady, Terri Keogh, explained: "Graham has been a regular at the pub for 11 years and has just returned from a week-long, 2,000 mile charity bike ride in southern India to raise money for the Rainbow Trust.
"As a local pub in the heart of the community, we wanted to do something to let Graham know how much he is liked and appreciated by everyone here at The General Roy, because in our eyes he's a real star."
So far, Graham has raised over £3,000 for the Rainbow Trust, a charity which cares for children with life threatening or terminal illnesses. And, after the bike ride, Graham will donate his bicycle to the Tiger Protection Trust in India. Terri added: "Graham is always helping other people, so we wanted to do something in return."
