THE Feltham and Heston Conservative Association held their AGM last week and were pleased to receive a letter of congratulations from Party leader Michael Howard.
Mr Howard's letter was read out to the 40 members in attendance, who were delighted with his remarks about their hard work and well wishes for the coming year.
The meeting, chaired by former MP and current vice president of the association, Patrick Ground , was also addressed by association chairman Tony Viney, local GLA member Tony Arbour and Mark Bowen ,the recently selected parliamentary spokesman.
Mr Bowen, who called himself the "torchbearer" for Feltham and Heston, said in his speech that he would scrutinise the work of current Labour MP Alan Keen, without instigating a dirty campaign against him.
He also promised to look into issues including tackling anti-social behaviour, the future status of local schools and the provision of A&E healthcare.
