Caught driving with four times the limit and for the fifth time, a Hounslow man has been jailed for five months and banned for five years.
Jaswinder Singh Pathal, aged 42, of Cromwell Road, Hounslow, had admitted drink driving, driving while banned and having no insurance at Isleworth on January 9 and been remanded for reports.
Magistrates were told that he had been out with friends when he had a telephone cal saying his landlord had thrown out all his possessions into the garden. He telephoned the police himself and drove to the house in a borrowed car and it was then he was stopped and arrested.
He has had an alcohol problem in the past and had spent three months in rehab.
Recently he had had a lot of personal problems and once more turned to alcohol for comfort.
After jailing him the bench said it was clear he had not responded to any previous court orders and made no order to costs.
