For his fourth offence of drink driving a Heston man was threatened with prison at Feltham court last week.
David Carnnegie, aged 45, of Beechcroft Close, Heston, admitted driving with excess alcohol at Heston on March 11 and was remanded on bail for reports.
Sally Peters, prosecuting, said that police saw him driving his Rover car in Vicarage Farm Road in the early evening with a flat tyre.
When they spoke to him he was unsteady on his feet and smelled strongly of alcohol. A later test showed he had 102 microgrammes of alcohol to each 100 millilitres of breath.
Magistrates said that they considered this a most serious offence and adjourned it for three weeks for full pre-sentence reports.
