ROBBERS left an elderly gentleman with a nasty gash on his head after they attacked him and stole £70 in cash while he lay dazed on the floor.
The Asian pensioner was returning from a trip to Hounslow and had got off a bus on South Street, Isleworth, at around 6.15pm on Monday March 15. As he passed the Swan Inn pub he was grabbed from behind by his two attackers. One man held him while the other hit him around the head with an instrument wrapped in a plastic carrier bag.
The 66-year-old fell to the floor and one of the robbers took the cash from his pocket. The two men then ran off towards Percy Gardens.
The victim was taken to West Middlesex Hospital where he was treated for the injury he sustained above his left eye.
Both suspects are described as black males, aged approximately 25, around 5 foot 10" tall, with curly black hair and wearing jeans and white trainers.
Anyone with any information about the attack should call Sergeant Mike Sunman on 020 8247 6118.
