CHISWICK Baroque' are to stage an evening of vocal harmony including pieces by Monteverdi, Bruckner, and Grieg at St Saviour Wendell Park Church on Cobbold Road in Hammersmith on Saturday March 20.
The concert, which will feature five part vocal harmony and start at 8pm, is in aid of The Upper Room charity for local homeless people and will also include two premieres by Celia Harper.
The five singers and composer/director Celia Harper all live within the Turnham Green Terrace watershed. Repertoire runs from 16th to 21st centuries and focuses on works originally written for 5 voices (SSATB).
The singers of Chiswick Baroque include a music agent currently resting' with her two young children, a Human Resources specialist, a Welfare Adviser, a commodities trading systems entrepreneur and an offshore oil engineer.
CB gives concerts locally at St Michael and All Angels, Bath Rd, W4, St Peters, Black Lion Lane, W6, St Saviours Wendell Park W12 and also further afield.
