FOOTBALLERS from Feltham will be aiming to continue their run of success this weekend at a special football tournament in the town.

The footballers, who all play for the Feltham Bees Disabled Sports club, are hosting teams including Chelsea, QPR and Arsenal from across London and the south east for the Football+ Tournament.

Hosted at Feltham Community College on Sunday March 14, from 10.30am-4pm, the tournament will allow players with a range of disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, learning difficulties and amputees, to show off their skills.

Tournament organiser Ray Coleman is looking forward to seeing the high level of skills and fitness required by the players.

"This is the fourth tournament we've held in Feltham and it gets more popular every time. The standard of football is very high and the challenge from other teams means that Feltham will have to be on top of their game to come away with honours," Ray said.

"However, the focus of the tournament is all about getting involved and having fun so winning isn't always so important.

"It promises to be a great spectacle and the doors are open for any football fans to come and see the talent on display."

In addition to the football, a barbeque, raffle and side stalls will be held to raise additional funds for the Feltham club.

The Feltham Bees, which won honours at both junior and senior levels during 2003, has been running for just two years but already has 30 juniors, aged 8-15, and 20 senior players aged 16+.

New players wishing to join the club should call Ray Coleman on 020 8831 3032.

Teams entered for the Football+ Tournament include Arsenal, Charlton, Chelsea, Feltham, Larkfield, Portsmouth, QPR, Southampton and Woking.

Junior teams are: Brighton, Charlton, Chelsea, Feltham, Larkfield, Southampton, Watford and Woking.
