LITTERBINS, park improvements, and pavement maintenance are at the top of a spending wish list put forward to Hounslow Council by Chiswick residents.
The priorities were identified after residents were asked how £100,000 should be spent on local environmental improvements.
More than 150 people responded to Chiswick Area Committee's online consultation about the funding, which has come from S106 contributions for planning mitigation.
The committee wanted to ensure that local issues were prioritised and that funding was allocated, where possible, on the basis of demand. A final decision is likely to be made at the Chiswick Area Committee during June 2004.
Cllr Peter Thompson, chair of the Chiswick Planning Committee, hopes the money can be used to improve the local area for everyone.
"This is a substantial amount of money which we have to spend and we've had a substantial number of ideas from residents as to how to spend it.
"The main criteria for the councillors devising a shortlist will be to look at those ideas which give maximum benefit in relation to cost so that we can make the most of the funds available," he said.
