For his second offence of drink driving, a man was banned from driving for three years at Feltham court last week.
Leigh John Denness, aged 24, of Ashmead Road, Feltham, admitted driving with excess alcohol at Hounslow on February 29.
Peter Herrity, prosecuting, said that Denness was stopped by police and found to have been drinking. A test showed he had 68 microgrammes of alcohol to each 100 millilitres of breath.
Mr Herrity said that Denness has a previous conviction for a similar offence when he was fined £250 and banned for 12 months.
Denness said that he had been out fishing and had some drinks before he was stopped. Magistrates banned him for three years with a 25 per cent reduction if he completes a special rehab course with a fine of £200 and costs of £35.
Found sitting in his car playing music in the early hours of the morning a man was arrested for being in charge of it with excess alcohol.
Gerald Frederick Osbourne, aged 53, of Exeter Road, Hanworth, appeared at Feltham court last week and admitted being in charge of a Vauxhall Cavalier at that address on January 20.
Peter Herrity prosecuting, said that at 1.15am on that date police in an unmarked car came across him sitting his car. The brake lights were on and he was playing music. When they spoke to him they smelled alcohol and a later test showed he had 62 microgrammes of alcohol to each 100 millilitres of breath.
He said that he had had "Quite a few drinks'' and had driven home from a pub. He had decided to play music in his car so he did not disturb his mother.
He said in court that he had about ten pints of beer before driving home. Magistrates said they wanted to know more about him and remanded him on bail for full pre-sentence reports.
In the early hours of a morning a Hounslow driver was stopped by police and found to have almost three times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
Sujanthan Jeyaratnam, aged 24, of Madison Heights, High Street, Hounslow, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol at Feltham court last week and was remanded on bail for pre-sentence reports because of the high reading.
Peter Herrity prosecuting, said that at 2am on February 27, police saw him driving his BMW without lights at Staines Road, Hounslow. After a breath test he was arrested and a later test showed he had 98 microgrammes of alcohol to each 100 millilitres of breath where the legal limit is 35 per 100.
The defendant told magistrates that he had left his car in a dangerous position and was moving it when the police came across him.
He said this was his first dealing with the police and he was sorry for what had happened.
Magistrates said because of the high reading they wanted more information and ordered probation reports.
