A YOUNG boy suffering from terminal cancer lost computer games and money when his Teddington home in Stanley Road was found burgled last Friday morning.

Drawers were ransacked within the house and belongings thrown around the premises. Items stolen included a Sony Playstation 2 games console, including 50 games, a hand-held game boy console and DVDs.

The house owners' personal correspondence was opened and a letter with money in it was stolen, belonging to their terminally ill son. The young victim also lost some jewellery which had recently been given to him as a gift.

The burglary took place some time between Thursday, February 26, at 4pm and the following morning.

Unknown suspects entered the house, in a quiet residential street, via the rear ground floor living room window and they left via the kitchen door, escaping through the rear garden.

Police officers and staff at Twickenham police station were so moved by this heartless' crime, they began a collection for the young victim and have already raised £240 which has now been given to him.

There are no witnesses to the incident at present and police are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying the culprits.
