A CHARITABLE man from Whitton has donated a number of his fuchsia plants to a 93-year-old lady in Kew after hearing her own collection was stolen.
After reading an article in last week's Richmond and Twickenham Times Mr Foggert went to visit the OAP to make the kindly gesture.
He said: "I knocked on the door and she came out and I introduced myself. She was absolutely thrilled to bits.
"She was very pleased and said there is a God after all'. She was nearly in tears, as I was.
"She couldn't believe that in this modern day there are people who could go and do something like that. I felt quite strongly about doing this for her."
The lady, who lives in Bushwood Road in Kew, had stuck notes up in her front garden pleading for the person who stole her plants to bring them back.
