STARS of stage and screen formed a large section of the 'audience' when teenager Keaton Henson held his first art exhibition in Richmond last Sunday.
Fifteen-year-old Keaton, a pupil at Ibstock Place School, is the son of actor Nicky Henson and ex Royal Ballet principal Marguerite Porter.
Among the familiar faces at the Richmond Salon in Kew Road were family pals Richard E Grant and his voice coach wife Joan Washington from Petersham, Casualty favourite Julia Watson from Barnes and James Bond's Miss Moneypenny actress Samantha Bond.
Also present to view Keaton's 34 paintings - only a third of his current 'stock' - were singer Anita Harris, musical actress Elizabeth Bennett and television's former Dr Finlay actor David Rintoul.
Keaton is the protg of local teacher Susan Mason. According to his mother, he has had a sketching pencil in his hand since he was two.
"He has this tremendous gift," says Ms Porter, who runs keep fit classes at Pools on the Park.
"He really wants a career as an artist and we will support him all the way."
Keaton's father has two other sons, Joe and Christian, by his first wife, actress Una Stubbs.
They opted for a career in the music business. Henson Senior, who played Harvey Moon on television and is currently starring in the West End in Tom Stoppard's Jumpers, quipped: "Nobody wanted to act, thank God!
"Seriously, it is a hopeless task these days. There is so little work.
"But the older boys have done brilliantly and Keaton does have a very special talent."
Thirty one of the canvasses were sold during the evening.
