CHISWICK'S Women's League are to celebrate their 70th Anniversary in June this year with a luncheon at Chiswick Business Park.
In 1934 the Acton Centre opened and moved back and forth between Ealing and Acton for many years but settled at Studio 21 at The Arts Educational School in Chiswick. The current teacher Margaret Kemsley-Smith has been imparting her knowledge to the forty members for ten years and her achievement will also be celebrated at the luncheon.
Meanwhile, the Fitness League of which the Chiswick branch is a member will celebrate its 75th Anniversary with a show at the Royal Albert Hall on April 16 2005 when teams will take part from all over the UK and overseas.
