A STUDENT from Brentford has received an acclaimed Society & Media award for his participation in Royal Holloway's Students' Union.
Paul Nezandonyi, of Carville Crescent, who attended Lampton School, Hounslow, is currently in his third year of a bachelors degree in English at Royal Holloway, University of London in Surrey. He was given the award for his work as Section Editor in The Orbital', the college's on-campus magazine.
During a ceremony at Royal Holloway's Societies Ball on February 14, Paul, age 21 was commended for his success in editing the Theatre section of the magazine. Within his role, he has encouraged many more people to write about drama, interviewed celebrities and secured press tickets for his team of writers. This success earned Paul a nomination by fellow students and the magazine's editorial board.
"This award means a great deal to me", said Paul. "I think a lot more readers have become interested in the theatre, and some great reviewers and feature writers have got more involved in The Orbital."
Paul has just been elected editor of the magazine, which he sees as a great achievement. His plans are to make The Orbital a key player in student media and subsequently one of the best university magazines in the UK.
