A CHANCE to learn how to research your family tree on-line is being offered at a local library this month.

Heathfield Library in Percy Road, Whitton, is offering an on-line genealogy workshop.

This free drop-in event, aimed at the complete beginner, will be on Wednesday, January 14 at 2pm.

Library staff will be on hand to introduce people to the wealth of resources that are available on-line for those trying to trace their family history.

Cllr Roger Avins, Richmond council's cabinet member for libraries, sport, art and leisure, said: "It will be great for those that always wanted to trace their history. It's fascinating and completely free."
