A national charity based in East Sheen is looking for volunteers to man helplines for missing people and their families.
Missing People, in Upper Richmond Road West, which helps find missing children, vulnerable adults and provides support for families left in limbo, is looking to double the 60 volunteers it currently relies on.
Runaway helpline volunteer Emily said: “Volunteering gave me confidence and opened up a whole new world for me.
“When I put my head on the pillow at night, I know that, through what I contributed, someone’s child sleeps more safely and peacefully."
If you are interested in volunteering with Missing People, the charity will have a stand at the volunteer recruitment fair at York House in Twickenham, on Wednesday, June 10, between 1pm and 7pm.
Alternatively, for information on volunteering and to download application forms, go to missingpeople.org.uk/volunteer or call the volunteer line on 020 8392 4550.
