The Thames will be taken over by a hoarde of dragon boat racers as part of the Twickenham Festival and now is your chance to take part and power to victory.
Twickenham’s Riverside Embankment will host the Marriott Twickenham Dragon Boat Challenge on June 13 and teams of 10 can enter.
Each team needs to raise £200 to take part while The Twickenham Town Centre Management Board, which organises the now 12-year-old festival will ensure the winners receive a trophy in return for their hard work.
Those who wish can also raise further sponsorship for their own favourite charity or the festival’s choice, the United Reform Church’s re-development on Twickenham Green.
Other festival events include tug-of-war on June 12, Twickenham Carnival is on June 14 and Strawberry Hill Music and Family Fun Day will be held on June 21.
