Some of the most vulnerable youngsters could be the beneficiaries of a new pledge signed by Richmond Council.
The Richmond Pledge is a commitment to improve the lives of young people in care or leaving care.
Cabinet member for children’s services and education, Councillor Malcolm Eady, said: “The council is taking its role as parent to children in care and young people leaving care very seriously.”
The document is a series of promises the council has agreed in addition to 47 measures outlined in the London Pledge to help support young people in care.
