A community dinner for 200 people will be held in Feltham to raise money for an autism charity.
The UK Autism Foundation has invited residents to the buffet meal with live music at the Royal Naval Association Club in Park Road at 7pm on Saturday, June 13.
The charity hopes to build the first ever state-of-the-art autism centre in London, build an autism school and create initiatives to help families affected by the neuro-developmental disorder who are below the poverty line.
Ivan Corea, of the UK Autism Foundation, said: “I would urge people to back and support this community dinner for autism.
“We are working hard to lobby and campaign for families with autism who are below the poverty line.
"Many desperately need help. The credit crunch and the deepening recession is devastating families with autism. They need support.”
Residents wishing to purchase tickets should send a cheque for £20 to the UK Autism Foundation, Woodford Business Centre, 113-115 George Lane, South Woodford, London, E18 1AB, or call 020 8989 4810.
