That time of the year is finally here, as the days get shorter and the nights get longer, the Christmas spirit grows across London. 

As ever, to mark the occasion, it will mean Christmas lights will start appearing across the region and lighting up the streets of London. 

London is well known for its impressive Christmas lights displays with millions of tourists heading to the region to get a glimpse.

This includes the Oxford Street Christmas lights that bring festive cheer to the prime shopping location of London.

When will the Oxford Street Christmas light be turned on in 2024?

This year, the Oxford Street Christmas lights will be from on Tuesday, November 5.

While the lights will begin from that day, their display on that day, there will not be an official 'switch on' event.

The Oxford Street lights will also promote sustainability with reduced operating hours and the use of LED lights.

The Christmas lights will see 300,000 stars in the sky and are in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

There will also be the Big Day of JOY to help support the GOSH Charity.
