A Metropolitan Police officer who is currently suspended from duty has been charged with actual bodily harm and coercive and controlling behaviour.
Detective Constable Lindsay Blackman, attached to the Specialist Crime Command, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 18.
He was charged in June after an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A Met officer will appear at court charged with controlling and coercive behaviour and actual bodily harm.
“Detective Constable Lindsay Blackman, attached to the Specialist Crime Command, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 18.
“DC Blackman was charged in June following an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
“He has been suspended from duty.”
