For the eighth year in a row, the Winter Lights Festival in Canary Wharf will be lighting the borough up.
The event continues to show visitors that winter light shows don’t only have to take place during the Christmas period.
From January 17-27, you can head to the Canary Wharf Estate anytime between 5pm and 10pm to witness the dazzling lights.
It showcases innovative light artists and this year aims to shine a light on the contrast between nature and technology, giving visitors moments of stimulation, alongside moments of stillness.
As well as the stunning installations, there will be pop-up food markets serving street food and hot drinks if you find yourself getting cold.
At Jubilee Park, around the corner from the festival, you can find pop-up fire pits to toast marshmallows or you can even head to one of the many restaurants and bars in Canary Wharf for a drink or a bite to eat.
The light show is free to visit but organisers warn that it can be very busy at the weekend, so if you have the chance to head over on weeknights then that is strongly advised.
There is a map that can be downloaded on the Canary Wharf websitecanarywharf.com/whats-on/winter-lights/ so that you can navigate the light festival and make sure you don’t miss anything.
