Ten fire engines were called to a huge restaurant fire in Richmond in the middle of the night.
Fire crews were called to Paradise Road at around 1.30am this morning (July 18) to a fire in a restaurant with flats above it.
Around 70 firefighters were at the scene.
The whole roof on the second and third floors was destroyed by the fire.
Half of the first floor and part of the ground floor was also damaged in the fire.
The fire was under control by around 5.30am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant with flats above on Paradise Road in Richmond.
“The whole of the mansard roof on the second and third floor levels was destroyed by fire.
“Half of the first floor and part of the ground floor was also damaged in the fire.
“The brigade was called at 1.32am and the fire was under control by 5.17am.
“Fire crews from Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham, Chiswick, Heston, Hammersmith, Heston, Actron and Wandsworth fire stations were in attendance.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
