Police have been unable to find the source of a large amount of blood was found on a bench in Richmond.
At 9am on Sunday, January 29, locals heading to the St. Stephen's Church on Richmond Road noticed blood around the area and contacted the police.
A crime scene was put into place and an investigation was carried out, but police were unable to identity the origin of the blood.
The crime scene was closed and no arrests have been made.

Police are not appealing for further information about what may have caused the blood.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police: “At 9am on Sunday 29th January, police were called to St Stephens Church to a large amount of blood was found around the area.
“A crime scene was put in place, and an investigation was carried out.
“The crime scene has now been closed.
“The origin of the blood remains unidentified and no arrests have been made.
“If you have any information regarding this incident, please call 101 and quote ref 0700988/23.”
