Police have launched an investigation after a woman was found injured on a major road in Twickenham.
Ambulance crews called police at around 7.50pm on Wednesday to an injured woman on the A316.
The woman was taken to hospital in central London.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish how the woman was injured.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 19:50hrs on Wednesday, 31 August to reports of an injured woman on the A316 in Twickenham.
"Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended.
"The woman was taken to a central London hospital; her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish how the woman came by her injuries."
