A driver in Richmond has been arrested after allegedly driving with stolen number plates and no driving licence.
Richmond Police pulled over a Mercedes in Mortlake that had reportedly cloned plates posing as a BMW.
Police say information came back that the rightful owner was in York.
The real owner had even been receiving the speeding tickets from the driver in Richmond.
The Richmond driver also allegedly sent had no driving licence, insurance, tax, or MOT.

A spokesperson for Richmond Police said: “Arrested – last week, our officers pulled over a Mercedes posing as a BMW on cloned plates in Mortlake.
“Info came back that the rightful owner in York was receiving the drivers speeding tickets in Richmond.
“The driver also had no driving licence, insurance, tax, or MOT!”
