A man has been hospitalised after being attacked by a group of men in Richmond last night.
A 37-year-old man was left with a serious head injury and is currently being treated in hospital.
Police were called to George Street at around 9.30pm to find a group of young men attacking the victim.
A crime scene is currently in place on George Street and investigations are ongoing.

At this stage, no arrests have been made and police are appealing for anyone with further details to come forward.

A spokesperson for Richmond Police said: “Last night, (Friday 15th July) at 21.23hrs we were called to George Street, Richmond to reports of a male being assaulted by a group of young males.
“Officers arrived within a few minutes to find a 37-year-old male with a significant head injury.
“The victim is currently being treated at hospital.
“A crime scene remains in place on George Street, Richmond.
Detectives from the South West Command CID are investigating.
“At this early stage there have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
