A parrot that was stolen in Richmond Park is believed to have been killed by a fox since the theft.
On June 20, at around 8pm a parrot was stolen and put into a car outside Sheen Gate in Richmond Park.
It is understood that a pair of parrots were being free-flown in the area.
The male macaw parrot named Sura has reportedly been killed by a fox since this theft.
Sura’s owner is “very distressed at losing him.”
Royal Parks Police are currently investigating this incident and have spoken to witnesses who were around Sheens Gate at the time.
Police are appealing for more witnesses and people who may have interacted with the driver who took Sura to come forward.

A spokesperson for Richmond Upon Thames police said: “On 20/6/22 at around 8pm a Macaw was taken and put into a vehicle just outside Sheen Gate, #RichmondPark.
“Our colleagues from Royal Parks police in Richmond are investigating this theft.
“They have spoken to a number of witnesses, but understand there may have been further witnesses and persons in and around Sheen Gate who interacted with the driver of the vehicle in which Sura was taken.
“The macaw is called Sura, and his owner is very distressed at losing him.
“We are appealing for these people to come forward with any information they may have. Please email RichmondPark@met.police.uk quoting ref 0706397/22.”
Royal Parks Police tweeted: “Hi, we believe the parrot was subsequently killed by a fox.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
