The roof of a building at a derelict school in Richmond was on fire yesterday.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Kingston, Twickenham, Richmond and Surbiton fire stations tackled the blaze on Petersham Road.
The brigade was first called at 5.30pm and the fire was brought under control by around 6.30pm.
Part of the roof of an unused school building has been damaged by the fire.
London Fire Brigade has said that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no reports of any injuries.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a derelict school on Petersham Road in Richmond.
“Part of the roof a single-storey, unused school building was damaged by fire.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 1720 and the fire was under control by 1831.
“Fire crews from Kingston, Twickenham, Richmond and Surbiton fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
