A person has died after being hit by a train at Mortlake station.
A casualty on the tracks was reported at around 1.20pm today (June 20).
Officers and ambulance crews attended and a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “British Transport Police were called to Mortlake station at 1.20pm today (20 June) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
