BBC TV sports presenter, Gabby Logan, is set to be interviewed during the virtual fundraising event, Friday Night In.
Tonight (February 25), Gabby joins Michael Buerk and Alastair Bruce for the event, organised by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
Guests will hear the sports presenter share stories of top sports stars, plus her memories of the 2012 Olympics.
In an evening packed with entertainment, there will be music from the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, as well as opportunities to bid on prizes, including signed books from Bernard Cornwell, Dame Joanna Lumley and Dame Judi Dench.
Guests who register for the event will help raise money for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, from the comfort of their own sofa.
The first Friday Night In event in March 2021 raised more than £23,000 for the Army’s national charity.
BBC journalist Michael Buerk intends to recall his time covering the Ethiopian famine, which inspired the first global Live Aid concert; and General Alastair Bruce, who became the highest-ranking Army officer to have a same-sex wedding in 2021, will share a key lesson he learnt from the Army.
Charles Dunphie, the Scotland Director, of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, said: “Cancel all your Friday night plans and join our celebrity guests for an evening of fun, frank conversation and fundraising.
"Invite your friends, share a meal and help support Army veterans, soldiers and their families.”
Amanda, who attended last year’s event said: “We got the whole family together last year and had a great time trying to make the winning bid on some great prizes; we’ll definitely be attending this year.”
Registration costs are £20 per household.
