Residents can rejoice as Richmond Park has been crowned London's most popular Royal Park.
As the weather gets warmer and the rules for meeting people outside relax, people are appreciating green spaces more.
And new research has shown that the borough’s flagship park is the most searched for out of all the Royal Parks in the capital.
According to property company Share to Buy, Richmond Park beat eight others to the top spot, including West London’s Bushy Park and Kensington Gardens.
By analysing monthly Google search volumes, the company have listed the ten most searched London parks that locals are looking to visit for Summer.
The 2,500-acre park is searched for online by around 90,500 people per month, followed by Hyde Park in second place and Regents Park in third.
Offering one outdoor space per 1,547 people, Richmond Upon Thames has also been ranked as the second top borough with the greenest space.
Home to 1,200 ancient tree speeches and over 600 fallow deer, it’s no surprise that Richmond Park is one of London’s most appreciated nature spots.
Daffodils, rhododendrons and magnolias are currently in bloom in the Isabella Plantation’s 40-acre woodland.
The park is also a favourite of nature lover David Attenborough, who said last year:
“I’m very lucky, I live in West London quite close to a wonderful park–Richmond Park–which is many centuries old. It was Henry the VIII's hunting park and there are still deer there and a lot of ancient trees.”
