A Twickenham based children's charity is asking residents who would have attended on its fundraising events, to make a small donation instead.
Small Steps - a charity for disabled children, closed its doors to the public to prevent the risk of Coronavirus spreading.
The charity is asking anyone who was due to attend a Small Steps ball, 10k marathon run or baking at one of the charities bake sales to donate money to its Gofundme page instead.
A Spokesperson for Small Steps said: "We'd be very grateful if you would consider making a small donation in lieu of what you might have donated.
"This will help keep our finances on an even keel and help us to continue to help those that need us.
"Although we are not able to offer face to face sessions to our families at the moment, we are in constant contact with them, sending tips and ideas for activities to do at home as well as uploading videos and links to our website."
