Developers have submitted the planning application to build a permanent home for Turing House School.
The school has been at a temporary home but is a step closer to moving, after Bowmer & Kirkland submitted the planning application to Richmond Council earlier this week.
They are planning to build the school at a site on Hospital Bridge Road.
Following feedback and consultation, three key changes were made. These included changes to the external design, a second pedestrian and cycle entrance via Heathfield Recreation Ground and part of the site will be dedicated as a public open space.
Headteacher, Colin Mackinlay said: “We are delighted to be one step closer to our permanent home. We would like to thank our parents, prospective parents and many members of the Whitton and Heathfield community for their continued support.”
Richmond Council are currently validating all of the application documents before it adds them to its website for members of the community to review and comment.
Cllr Gareth Roberts said: “This is an important stage in Turing’s journey since it opened. I very much hope that all those with an interest in this development, whether for or against, will take the opportunity to have their say through the planning consultation process.”
