Primary school pupils from across the borough took part in a basketball tournament run by professional team Richmond Knights.
Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils played competitive matches against one another at the two day tournament held at Twickenham School this month.
Students from the secondary school helped to support coaches from Richmond Knights to run the competition.
The best team from the year 5 and 6 tournament have been put forward to represent Richmond at the London Youth Games.
Schools that took part included Archdeacon Cambridge, Hampton Hill, St Mary's and St Peter's, Stanley, Buckingham, St John Baptist, St James' and St Richard Reynolds.
Richmond Knights Community Coordinator Matt Page said: “These tournaments are very much about introducing a competitive element
“We work in all the schools that are playing today so it is good to see them all come together to enjoy the sport.
“Getting younger students into sport is very important to their personal development.
“We want to help local schools any way we can.
St Mary's and St Peter's pupil James, who is in year 4, said: “It has been so fun playing here today.
“The sports facilities at this school are so good.
“I also play with the Richmond Knights team so it is nice to see so many of my teammates playing today.”
Twickenham School pupil Danny Munto, 13, from Whitton, said: “It has been really good experience helping to run this tournament today.
“There is a big focus now at the school on being ambassadors and leaders.”
